It goes like this.
Lately i have been observing that some youngsters are using a new salutation before their names(mostly on social networking sites, as this is not valid on any legal documentation). This salutation is - 'ER.'.
At first, I was totally confused as these 2 letters always meant only one thing to me and that was:EMERGENCY ROOM (ER: the famous TV show as well). So i asked a couple of wise men who told me that these young buds are trying to show that they are Engineers (thats why it was ER.).
So i said, "WOW!!!". Now an engineer's name plate out of his house or office (or anywhere) will say,"ER. XXX YYYYY" (i thought thats a nice way to satisfy yourself).
